Service at the ShopRite store is very good. The people who work there are easy to work with and their selection of the products they sell is great. I couldn't ask for a better place to shop. Besides being my most frequented grocery store they have a great selection of flowers for reasonable prices.
It's somewhat ironic that it took Shop Rite closing all of their stores in Albany to give me incentive to visit this store when passing through Kingston. I wonder if their layout was the inspiration for the layout of the North Poughkeepsie store that I frequented when I lived in Hyde Park, since the the two are very similar. Today everything was very well stocked and the produce was fresh, with a few good loss-leaders in the produce area. It would have been nice if smaller carts and baskets were available, as I didn't have a huge list but more than I could easily carry. The self-checkout area was always full but also staffed with helpful employees. In general, this is a good grocery store - but then again, it has to be to survive, when you consider how many other grocery options there are in the vicinity.
Store is a little dated but it is clean And Well stocked. I've had great luck with the meat and seafood department. Again, I love those ShopRite prices and sales. I heard they're gonna close the store down. I hope they rethink it.

They have rainbow cake and phone chargers for your car. What else do you need? There is also an incredible sunset from the parking lot.
